The first question you might have in your mind is “why should I choose this course to learn Tamil ?”. The answer to this is as below.
1. Most of the people wants to learn Tamil in order to:
a) Communicate with their loved ones who are native Tamil speakers.
b) They belong to the Tamil diaspora and wants to connect with their roots.
c) They are planning to travel to Tamil Nadu or Sri Lanka for a vacation.
d) They love Tami language for the beauty of it and the ancient history that it holds.
This course has been designed specially for all these people. You will learn about the culture, usage of certain words and most importantly, you will be able to use what you learnt while you are learning. You don’t have to wait until you finish the whole course to start speaking in Tamil. In fact, I would highly recommend that if possible to practice with a Tamil native speaker while you do this course.
(Note: This course contains only spoken Tamil. So, if you are looking to learn old Tamil to read Tamil literature or poems then this course is not for you.)
2. I have 12 years of experience in teaching Tamil to people all around the world. I have trained more than 500 students to become fluent in Tamil. This course has been created through all the experiences that I have gained over the years.
3. There is no prerequisite for this course. For all the Tamil script provided in this course there will be an English transliteration for the same. So, those who can and cannot read in Tami, they both can follow my course.
4. This course contains:
a) Useful Tamil sentences categorized based on the situations and circumstances that they are needed for.
b) Vocabularies needed for those sentences.
c) Role play scenarios to improve your Tamil listening skills and practice along with.
d) Tamil vocabularies being taught through pictures like vegetables, fruits, wild animals, pet animals, relationship names etc.
e) Train you to learn to read in Tamil (optional).
f) A separate section dedicated in explaining about the Tamil culture, festivals and do’s and don’ts if you are planning to travel to Tamil Nadu.
5. This course does not contain any grammar details or explanation. This course is created for those who doesn’t want to learn any grammar and they want to learn Tamil through absorption method just like a baby does by listening, visualizing and repeating the pronunciation and practicing them little by little. This course is also for those, who already knows Tamil grammar and they want to improve their conversational skills in Tamil.
6. I have created multiple memrise course which will help you in memorizing the sentences and vocabularies that is being taught in this course.
